Northlake Family,
As we reflect on 2025 and look ahead to the remainder of 2026, we do so with deep gratitude for God’s continued faithfulness and for your generosity as a church family. It is a privilege to share a brief financial review of the past year and an overview of the budget the elders are proposing for the year ahead.
Before we do, we want to offer two brief clarifications. First, we typically provide this financial update earlier in the year. However, this year our timeline was intentionally delayed as the finance team took additional time to diligently plan and prepare our 2026 budget. This was especially important as we anticipate the added financial responsibilities of on-ramping our new facility in the final quarter of this year. As a result, the 2026 budget was not approved and adopted by our board of elders until early March, and this communication follows that timeline.
Second, this financial summary reflects Northlake Church’s general operating budget and ministry finances. It does not include the costs associated with the construction of our new worship center or the financial details related to the Becoming a City of God capital campaign.
Financial Review
The elders approved a general operating budget for 2025 of $2,367,000, with an additional $200,000 set aside for the ongoing ministry of the NorthLake Hope Center. This brought our internal budget target to $2,567,000.
By God’s grace and through careful stewardship, total expenditures for 2025 came in under budget, totaling $2,500,656.69. This marks the first time in the last few years that we were able to finish the year below our internal budget target, even amid inflationary rising costs and significant ministry activity.
In 2025, our church family gave:
$3,044,382.07 to the general operating fund; in addition
$1,286,985.46 to the Becoming a City of God building
campaign
In total, generosity through all of Northlake Church’s giving avenues reached $4,672,941.27.
These gifts supported ministry within our church, outreach in our community, global missions, and the continued progress of our new facility. Yay God!
Allocation of 2025 General Giving
The allocation of our expenditures in 2025 was as follows:
29% – Outside-the-Walls Kingdom initiatives, including community partnerships, missions, and the NorthLake Hope Center
53% – Church operations, including staff, utilities, maintenance, and daily ministry support
18% – Internal ministries, including Children, Students, and Adult Ministries
We are grateful to report that Northlake Church continues to maintain strong cash reserves, allowing us to steward resources wisely and navigate seasonal rhythms of giving.
Looking Ahead: 2026 Budget Overview
The elders are adopted a 2026 general operating budget of $2,476,900, with an additional $200,000 allocation for the NorthLake Hope Center, bringing the total proposed budget to $2,676,900.
As we move into our new facility later this year, we anticipate higher operating costs related to utilities, maintenance, and administration. The proposed budget reflects these realities while remaining careful, conservative, and mission-focused.
The proposed allocation for 2026 is:
28% – Outside-the-Walls Kingdom initiatives
54% – Operations and staffing
18% – Internal ministries
A Call to Faithfulness and Generosity
As we enter this next season, we also want to be transparent about the challenges ahead. The new facility brings incredible opportunity but also increased costs and responsibility. In addition, for those who made commitments to the Becoming a City of God campaign, we currently have approximately over $4 million in remaining commitments over the next year.
Our prayer is simple: let our yes be yes. Faithfulness to those commitments ensures that ministry inside the walls of Northlake, throughout our community, and around the world is not hindered but continues to thrive.
If you are already giving faithfully, thank you. Your generosity is making a real and eternal difference. If you are not yet giving or have not taken a step toward generosity, we want to invite you in. Giving is one of our core values because generosity fuels Kingdom activity. It is an act of faith, returning a portion of what God has already entrusted to us and joining together as a family in what He is doing through this church.
God has been so faithful to Northlake Church. He has met every challenge, provided at every step, and we believe He will continue to do so as we walk forward together.
Thank you for being part of this church family. Together, we can meet every financial challenge and continue advancing the gospel for the glory of God.
With gratitude and hope,
Dean Rohne and Parky Laville
